Legalisation of documents and Apostille in London
There are situations when you may need to have your original documents and/or translations legalised in order to use them. At Certified Translations we have over ten years of experience in legalisation of various types of documents for all sorts of purposes, including Apostille legalisation and notarial certification. We assist clients living in and around London, other UK cities such as Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool, as well as clients living abroad. We also have offices in Ireland, Switzerland and Canada.
An Apostille constitutes the highest level of legalisation. A notarised translation or an original document is sent to the FCO in London (if the document originates from the UK) by our staff, where an Apostille stamp is affixed onto it. This validates the document and the signatures on it as genuine and authorises it to be used abroad in an official capacity. A standard Apostille takes around a week, but we can offer an urgent one if you are in a hurry, which is done in one day. Then you can either collect your legalised document from our office or we can post it to you, promptly and securely.
An Apostille or other forms of legalisation may be required in case of legal documents (Powers of Attorney, court decisions) and official personal documents (such as a birth or marriage certificate). If you also require a fully certified translation of your documents we will gladly assist you with that as well, all under one roof.
If you are unsure about the legalisation you may need please feel free to speak to us, our friendly staff will be happy to advise you. From preparation of the translation, to notarisation, to the Apostille - we will take care of everything for you. Just call 07999744743, or e-mail us at london@docsbase.com and we will do the rest.
